Hickory Valley Timeline

Hickory Valley was built. 27 holes were opened for play and architecture at that time consisted of small greens, narrow fairways measuring 15 to 25 yards wide and tall wild grass.

Extensive Renovations

Extensive renovations were done to the original 27 holes, including reseeding all greens, construction of new tees, placement of new bunkers, mounding, and a renovation of the existing clubhouse. Programs were also put in place to enhance the conditions to country club quality.

The new 9 holes of Hickory Valley

An additional 120 acres of adjoining property was purchased from a neighboring nursery. Plans were made for an additional 9 holes carved out of the existing nursery.

The Presidential Course at Hickory Valley

18 of the original holes were renamed the Ambassador Course, and the new 9 holes coupled with the last 9 holes were renamed the Presidential Course which opened for play in June 1996.
